When is the test offered?

You need to check for national-testing dates listed online at www.ets.org/toefl.


Do I need to make an appointment?

You must make an appointment in advance at www.ets.org/toefl in order to have a reserved seat for testing. Walk-ins are not permitted.


How long is the test?

The maximum time you can take is 4 hours


How long does it take to get my scores back?

Official scores are sent to your institution choices 2-3 weeks after your exam. There are no results on test date and your scores are viewable 15 business days from the day of your test on the website.


What do I need to bring to the test?

Bring valid ID. We provide you with scratch paper and pencils. No calculators are allowed.
*Student ID is not an accepted form of identification


Is there a study guide?

Yes, there is a study guide on www.ets.org/toefl/ibt/prepare, which you can download for free.


What if I have to reschedule?

You must call 1-877-863-3546 or go online at www.ets.org 4 full days ahead of test date and you will be charged a $60 rescheduling fee. If it is less than 4 full days, then you will have to repay the full amount of $245.00.


What if I cancel my appointment?

You must call 1-877-863-3546 or go online to www.ets.org no later than 4 full days before your test date, then your refund will be half of the original test fee, if it is within 4 full days there will be no refund.


Do I get my results the same day?

No, you will not get your unofficial scores at the end of your test. You must wait 6 business days from the day of your test and you can see your scores at www.ets.org/toefl.


How often can I take the TOEFL?

There are fixed dates set for the TOEFL. You may take the TOEFL only once in any seven-day period.
